Beauty Ingredients to Avoid ~ Be Informed and Get Healthy!

It is hard to imagine that the products we are using on our bodies to make us feel soft, beautiful and clean may not be that good for us. And it can be a tad bit scary if you do a deep dive into the ingredients you use daily.  Beauty and body care products, get absorbed through our skin and passed on to the environment.  One in eight of the 82,000 ingredients used in personal care products are industrial chemicals. That means 10,250 products are made from carcinogens, pesticides, reproductive toxins, and hormone disruptors; or contain plasticizers, degreasers, and surfactants. Oh my!

There are a lot of scarily-named products out there, and this list is a quick way to better protect your body and the environment. Be just as careful of what you are putting ON your body as you are of what you are putting IN it.

If you want more information regarding this list, don’t hesitate to reach out (info@healthyhoohoo.com) or do a google search! EWG’s Skin Deep Database (EWG.org) is a great way to research toxic chemicals as well.
